Today is the day that SB1070 might get the smackdown put on it before long - and expect the teabaggers to start making noise about Judge Susan Bolton when it happens, her being a Clinton appointee and all. Anyway, they have another issue, and its a choice between their hatred of John McCain and their love for racist Sheriffs. The Sherriff in question is Paul Babeu of Pinal County, who appeared in a campaign ad with Sen. John McCain standing at a border fence (in another county, mind you, one where the sherrif is against SB1070; Pinal County is miles away from the border, hence Babeu was miles away from his jurisdiction), and gave us the infamous "Complete the Danged Fence" line. Well, it made him a superstar among the right, and when it comes to immigration, that means the white nationalists will come a-callin'. Well, Babeu ended up on the show of one of them - the Political Cesspool hosted by Council of Conservative Citizen member James Edwards. Now we are sure that Babeu's backtracking on that appearance is based on the hopes that the general public doesn't know who Edwards is or that his show exists, but when you are in these circles regularly you know, and James Edwards isn't letting the Sheriff off that easy. Neither are we, and given this crowd is fond of doctoring videos and spinning things to make Black and Latino people more racist than them, no one else should either.

If New York Gov. David Patterson wants any redemption for his mess of a Governorship before he leaves in January, he really, really, REALLY needs to pardon this guy. We reported on this story two years ago about John White, a black man who defended his home and his son against an angry white mob outside his Suffolk County, NY home and ended up shooting one of the mob, a 17-year-old, to death. The trial and eventual manslaughter conviction was seen as an outrage even among conservatives, but we hadn't heard much about the case until today, when we were looking at another case where a Black Univ. of Louisville (KY) student named Montequa Jackson fought another angry white mob attacking her boyfriend. She stabbed one, and that netted her a guilty plea to 4th degree assault and expulsion from the school. That reminded us of John White's case, we looked it up and found out that two weeks ago he started his 2-4 years in prison. What's even sadder is that no one, absolutely no one is talking about the case anymore, despit our pronouncements two years ago. We should hang our heads in shame for that, but it's not too late. We will be in NYC next Saturday, and this will come up. This man does not need to be in jail, and if anyone needs a parallel, look up the case of Joe Horn and see how things were done with that.

Better and better this case gets. Last month a Philadelphia pastor and others went out to talk with state officials in Harrisburg, PA and their efforts paid off. Now one of those elected officials also wants to know why an off-duty transit cop shot and killed his neighbor two years ago and nothing has come of the case. And in this case, we are talking about a situation where the officer made one statement, only to have a recording of the incident surface later refuting that account. The shooting of Joseph McNair by officer Darryl Simmons happened in Montgomery County, and no one there seems to be all that forthcoming up with answers. It doesn't help matters much when the lawyer for both Off. Simmons and another neighbor who shot one of McNair's dogs in an earlier incident (better and better this case gets) is listed as a contributor to the District Attorney's campaign. It's time for some answers. Long since time. If the facts of the case are as they seem, we are not talking about a police officer who was simply doing his job and trying to protect someone. We are talking about a police officer who settled an argument by killing someone in the hopes that him being a cop will help mask that little fact. And the D.A. wants to play games with this?

We have to add this quote from the mental midget and sometime columnist for the white supremacist Middle American News known as Brent Bozell, President of the right-wing Media Research Center: "Andrew Breitbart is going to be fine. He's done nothing wrong. I wonder if Ms. Sherrod, who is such a champion of transparency, will publicly disclose who is putting her up to this. And I also hope this champion of honesty will stop lying about Fox News. I'm also waiting for Ms. Sherrod to publicly apologize for accusing anyone opposed to nationalized health care of being racist. Last time I checked, that was more than half the country." In other words, Bozell didn't have anything to say, so he said anything. This is not about health care, this is not Little Andy Breitbart smearing a Black woman to prove that the NAACP is racist. And she is pissed about it. The conservatives do not like being held accountable for their stunts, and we don't like their stunts. Not a good combination when you lose a job over them. That, Mr. Bozell is what Breitbart did wrong. And that's why we can't wait to see this play out in court!

Looks like Brian Moudry, formerly of the World Church of the Creator, is still maintaining his Creatard status. Now the law is talking to him because he threated a black mail carrier by saying he was going to put a bomb in his truck. Why? Because Brian wasn't getting his mail. This is why we call them boneheads, and especially why we call them Creatards.
